I started getting serious about photography the way many women started…I wanted better pictures of my daughter! Yes, I am an MWAC {mom with a camera}. And proud of it! My first priority is to be a mom. I started the business almost two years ago when we decided to save for another child (adoption/fertility expenses can be outrageous!). I now do it as a creative outlet and LOVE it! Right now I do all kinds of sessions, but my favorite to shoot is high school seniors and children/babies.

Wee Womb Cocoon Newborn Photo Prop Instructional Video
I am so thankful to a sweetheart by the name of Audrey Anderson of Audrey Anderson Photography at http://www.audreyandersonphotography.com based out of Louisville, Kentucky for making this video for all of us!
Even though I am the designer of this baby photo prop I had never used one on a live baby until this week. I was lucky enough to attend a newborn session and found the ease of using this newborn cocoon photo prop was with such ease! It was easier than I expected, though depending on the baby and situation it may not always be the case.
A few weeks ago I had a customer request on my Facebook wall a video demonstration on using the Wee Womb. Audrey noticed that request and volunteered right away to make it during her next newborn session! Wasn’t that so nice of her?!! Here it is, and I hope it helps any of you that were struggling. Please keep in mind there are other ways to use the cocoon but Audrey finds this the easiest way in most scenarios.

Out With The Old & In With The New
Just like the new year that is upon us, Custom Photo Props is discontinuing some photo prop products and coming out with some new ones! We are very excited for this revamp as it will refresh our product line and offer a more simple approach to photography props.
Two of the products that will no longer be offered are our reversible Baby Bundlers and Baby Hangouts. They will be replaced with a natural hand-dyed cheese cloth baby wrap that measures 18 inches by 36 inches.
The rest is a secret and you have to wait to see what it is in the next couple of months!! Stay tuned and we thank all of you for being so supportive and dedicated customers of Custom Photo Props!!

Another Happy Customer Makes Me Very Happy!

The Front Page Photo Prop Winners Are….

Every other month, starting November 1, 2010, I will be doing a free prop giveaway. When you use any props from Custom Photo Props and send me images of your work while using your props you are automatically entered to win. Entrants are allowed to tag me on Facebook or email the images to customphotoprops@yahoo.com to enter. I will pick one of my favorite images to be displayed in the proper prop category on the front page of my website, www.customphotoprops.com. If I use your image inside the prop category this does not include in a win, this is only for the front page of Custom Photo Props.

Deluxe Sizing Newborn Baby & Maternity Fringe Hammock Blanket Photo Props
In the last few days I received some great images of the Save Our Planet hammock blanket in its natural soft brown and cream tones from some of my dedicated customers. Thinking about purchasing a standard or deluxe size hammock blanket but unsure of the differences? Here they are!
STANDARD SIZING:
*Depending on the hammock, it will weigh just over 2 pounds.

DELUXE SIZING:
